Eddie Money Offers Tribute To 9/11 Victims With Benefit Single
With the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 approaching, Eddie Money is remembering those who both assisted and gave their lives in the wake of the tragedy with his latest single ‘One More Soldier Coming Home.’
Money is giving back to those who have been affected, donating 100% of the proceeds from sales of the single to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a non-profit organization whose mission is to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed for the United States.
The poignant tribute to our men and women of service has special meaning to Money, whose own roots are in New York, where both he and his father were police officers. Money’s brother also served as a Marine.
“Every day that I put on that police uniform, I knew I was stepping into a tradition of protecting the men and women of my city. My brothers and sisters on the force did the very same on the morning of September 11, 2001.” Eddie Money explains. “Since the terror attacks on New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania that morning, thousands more men and women have put on their uniforms to protect us. They’ve sacrificed their lives and way of life for us. This release and my relationship with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is my small way to say ‘thank you’ for that bigger-than-life gift.”
‘One More Soldier Coming Home’ can be downloaded via Money’s official website and it’s also available via iTunes and other digital outlets. As you'll see and hear from the video below, it's a classy tribute to the men and women who have made the greatest sacrifice for our country.
