Chickenfoot has been revealed as the winner of two very big 2011 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards. The Sammy Hagar / Joe Satriani / Michael Anthony / Chad Smith supergroup earned the most votes in both the 'Best Song' and 'Best Album' categories.

The band's hard-driving 'Big Foot' single beat Alice Cooper's 'I'll Bite Your Face Off' by a two-to-one margin (44% to 21%) in the 'Best Song' voting, also leaving Journey, the Rolling Stones and Stevie Nicks sucking dust in their rear-view mirror.

Chickenfoot again beat Cooper, although by a slightly smaller margin (40% to 26%) in the 'Best Album' category, for their jokingly titled but seriously rocking second album 'III.' We personally gave a slight nod to Alice's stylistically diverse concept album 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' in our own year-end list, but clearly the people have spoken!

The best part for Chickenfoot fans is that the campaign for 'III' is barely getting started. A new single, 'Different Devil,' is expected to be released in January, and the band is also expected to follow up its short "road test" tour with a full-scale trek later in 2012.

All told, over 230,000 votes were cast in the 2011 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards. You can see the results of the two categories Chickenfoot won below, and then learn who won the other eight categories.
