Legendary session guitarist Billy Strange passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22 in Franklin, Tenn. As a member of the Wrecking Crew, Strange appeared on hundreds of records recorded in Los Angeles during the 1960s. Well versed in country, pop, surf and rock & roll,  he worked with everyone from Nat King Cole to Nancy Sinatra and, most notably, the Beach Boys. Along with his classic guitar work, he also found success as a songwriter for the likes of Chubby Checker and Elvis Presley. Billy was 81 years old.
