Add Rod Stewart to the list of rockers with a new memoir on the way. Details are minimal, but Stewart reportedly has a deal with Random House subsidiary Crown Archetype to publish the book in the fall of 2012. Financial terms were not disclosed and the project currently is untitled.

The ex-Faces/Jeff Beck Group and long-successful solo artist surely has a tome's worth of tales about rock 'n' roll debauchery -- or at the very least stories about bedding a bevy of beautiful woman, including first wife Alana Hamilton, actress Britt Ekland, and models Dee Harrington, Kelly Emberg, Rachel Hunter and Penny Lancaster-Stewart, his current wife.

“It is a funny old thing telling my life story but I truly intend to hold nothing back,” Stewart said in a statement. “Forget skeletons in the closet; this one’s going to be socks and knickers under the bed.”

Other rockers with memoirs coming down the pipeline include Neil Young, Gregg Allman and late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain's widow, Courtney Love.

Stewart wrapped up a highly successful co-headlining tour with Stevie Nicks earlier this year and recently kicked off a two-year concert residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas titled simply Rod Stewart: The Hits.

Maybe he could title his memoir Rod Stewart: The Memoir.
