Sammy Hagar and James Hetfield have unveiled the details for their fourth annual Acoustic 4 A Cure benefit show, including the date, location and all-star lineup.

Hagar broke the news with a post revealing that this year's show will take place May 15 at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Tickets, set to go on sale March 31 via Live Nation, are priced at $150 for a general admission pass (which includes a commemorative T-shirt) and $500 for the VIP package, which treats buyers to special seats, free food and drinks, a T-shirt and poster and more.

The 2017 edition of Acoustic 4 A Cure boasts a lineup that includes — in alphabetical order — Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Don Felder, Mick Fleetwood, Dave Grohl, Hagar, Vic Johnson, Sarah McLachlan, Steve Vai and Bob Weir. Pointing out that this batch of performers "blends veterans and newcomers to the event," Hagar's update explains that Grohl will be sitting in for Hetfield, who has a long list of prior commitments with Metallica.

Describing the event as "one of the year's hottest tickets," the announcement promises more "legendary artists performing acoustic sets, epic collaborations and impromptu jams," all in the name of raising funds for the pediatric cancer research being performed at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital — and helping promote awareness of efforts to combat the disease.
