Metallica Announce Dates for European Leg of WorldWired Tour

It’ll be awhile before the members of Metallica get to sleep in their own beds for more than a few weeks at a time.

The band’s WorldWired Tour, rolling out in support of their recent Hardwired … to Self-Destruct LP, has revealed its European leg, which will keep the group on the road well into 2018. Starting in September, with a run of shows that will put them on the continent through early fall, Metallica are set to perform dozens of dates — including a return engagement that picks up next February and runs through mid-May.

The band’s European dates are scheduled to begin shortly after the conclusion of WorldWired’s North American leg, which will send Metallica across the U.S. and into Canada throughout the spring and summer. As with the previously announced shows, tickets to these dates come with a copy of Hardwired … to Self-Destruct.

According to Metallica’s official site, ticket pre-sales for the band’s fan club open on March 21 via a tiered system that offers access to “legacy members” an hour before “fifth members.” That pre-sale ends the following day, with sales opening to the general public on March 24.
