Love her or hate her, Kurt Cobain's widow Courtney Love is a controversial, polarizing and important figure in rock 'n' roll. She's lived an interesting life, from the whole Vanity Fair scandal where the writer wrote that Love admitted to doing heroin while pregnant to how she soldiered on after her husband's suicide to her public Facebook and Twitter battles with their child! The former Mrs. Cobain, who has been a frontwoman, an actress and a train wreck in the media through the years, is putting pen to paper and will write her memoirs.

Rolling Stone
reports that the book is due out in 2012. It is expected to sell briskly. The book promises to set the record straight about Love's marriage to Cobain; the two were wed at the time the Nirvana frontman took his life in April 1994.

Love will also delve into juicy subject matter such as her career as the singer/guitarist of Hole and her relationships with celebs and her and Cobain's only daughter, Frances Bean.

There is no title for the book yet and it'll be released via William Morrow, an imprint of the HarperCollins publishing house. Noted rock journalist and biographer Anthony Bozza will co-write with Love. Knowing Love's control freak nature, that oughta be fun for Bozza.

Whatever the case, it'll be an enthralling and entertaining read, given Love's history.
