ZZ Top have announced that the first ever La Grange Fest is happening Oct. 22 in Bee Cave, Texas. That state's most famous trio will be joined on the bill by Lynyrd Skynyrd and outlaw country star Jamey Johnson.

500 lucky fans will have a chance to be in the ‘La Grange Pit,’ a roped off section right in front of the stage, but only if they purchase a package on the band's official website. Other bands are scheduled to perform, and a full lineup will soon be announced.

The festival comes in the middle of a fall tour for the band. The timing of these shows couldn’t be better given the band are the subject of an all-star tribute record that arrives on Oct. 11. They're also currently working on their own new album, scheduled for release in the spring of 2012.

Platinum and Gold ticket packages are also available for the shows, and include special fan treatment for those willing to make the investment. Benefits include everything from a meet & greet and photos with the band to crowd-free merchandise shopping. Now, that’s southern hospitality at it’s finest!
