Scorpions

Scorpions formed in Germany in the mid-'60s, but it wasn't until 1978's 'Tokyo Tapes' that they started to make some noise in other parts of the world. By the following year, they scored their first hit album, 'Lovedrive.' In 1982, they received their first blast of massive airplay with 'No One Like You'; they repeated that two years later with their first Top 40 hit 'Rock You Like a Hurricane.' In 1991, they reached No. 4 with their all-time biggest hit, 'Wind of Change.' The band has gone through some lineup changes over the years, with singer Klaus Meine and guitarist Rudolf Schenker remain mainstays. They continue to release albums and tour 50 years later.

He’s wide awake and it’s hard not to get sucked in by the audible enthusiasm in his voice that comes across the phone line. R
