This is it -- the first big Hall of Fame battle of 2014. Scorpions and Styx have reached the final round of Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame for January. It's now up to you to decide who gets the crown.

Every month, our readers will decide which of eight legendary artists will be honored for their contributions to the genre. And it's all come down this month to two bands that started in the '70s and carried their success all the way into the next decade.

Scorpions formed in Germany as one of the nation's premier hard-rock bands. By the start of the '80s, they were fixtures on rock radio, scoring hits with songs like 'No One Like You,' Rock You Like a Hurricane' and 'Wind of Change.' Styx came out of Chicago as a group of progressive rockers before they began streamlining, and softening, their sound in the middle of the '70s, which resulted in a series of monster hits like 'Come Sail Away,' 'Babe' and 'The Best of Times.'

So which band makes it into our Hall of Fame? It's up to you! You can vote once a day between now and midnight on Feb. 2. Be sure to read our official rules.
