The late Jerry Garcia‘s daughter has confirmed that his estate explored the idea of projecting a hologram of the late Grateful Dead legend during the band’s Fare Thee Well reunion shows.

In celebration of what would have been Jerry Garcia's 70th birthday on Aug. 1, his former guitarist in the Grateful Dead, Bob Weir, has organized a tribute concert for tonight (Aug. 3). The show will take place at Weir's TRI Studios in San Rafael, Calif., and will be webcast at their website beginning at 9:30PM Eastern.
