The Steve Miller Band are set to hit the road this summer for an extensive North American tour, on the heels of the release of their new blues album, 'Let Your Hair Down.'

The trek launches June 23 in Kettering, Ohio, and runs through an Aug. 13 show in Westbury, N.Y. Miller says that fans can expect to hear the group's classics, along with some cuts off the new disc. "My set list is always 14 greatest hits and nine different songs besides that," Miller tells Rolling Stone magazine. "We'll probably do four or five from the new album."

'Let Your Hair Down' is a companion piece to last year's 'Bingo!' Both albums are collections of blues covers, making it nearly 20 years since Miller has released a disc of original tracks. However, the veteran rocker says he's starting to write some new tunes, thanks in part to a seemingly unlikely inspiration. "All week long I've been listening to Prince," reveals Miller. "It makes me want to make original pop songs."
