Last week, Slash tweeted that he was set to make a surprise appearance at a concert in London. Well, that show turned out to be B.B. King's gig Tuesday (June 28) at the Royal Albert Hall, where Rolling Stones axe-man Ron Wood also performed with the blues legend.

Slash and Wood, along with Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall, joined King for an extended 40-minute jam that included performances of 'The Thrill Is Gone' and 'Guess Who.' The gig was filmed for a future DVD release.

In other news, Slash, B.B. King, Journey's Neil Schon, Toto's Steve Lukather and others all appear on jazz guitarist Lee Ritenour's latest album, '6 String Theory,' which hit stores Tuesday (June 28).
