With their third album, 'Modern Vintage,' arriving Oct. 7, Sixx: A.M. is preparing to do something they've never done before. The Nikki Sixx-named project is looking to embark on a world tour.

As lead singer James Michael tells Lithium, the idea of touring for any length of time had been impossible because its members had obligations with their other bands. But with Motley Crue wrapping up its last-ever tour at the end of November, Michael says that they "are so excited to be able to put Sixx: A.M. at the forefront of all of our lives. For the first two records we weren’t sure we were a band. And now we are so excited with this new album and the future that we know we are – we truly feel the sky is the limit. We are planning a big tour right now, and everything feels like it’s happening at the right time.”

Sixx: A.M. have only toured once to date, in 2008 as part of the Crue Fest package tour. An eight-song EP compiled from those performances, 'Live Is Beautiful,' was released later that year.

The group, which also features DJ Ashba of Guns N' Roses, has been streaming several songs from 'Modern Vintage' in advance of its release, including 'Let's Go,' 'Stars' and the first single, 'Gotta Get it Right.'
