Sammy Hagar is rarely at a loss for words, and now he has a new avenue for taking advantage of that gift for gab: his own weekly radio show.

Titled 'Sammy Hagar's Top Rock Countdown,' the show will find Hagar counting down "lists of his favorite party songs, comeback albums, unsung heroes or best tunes from a specific year or decade." While that's a pretty broad concept, it seems like a natural fit for its new host, who seems to be approaching his latest gig with the same good-natured enthusiasm he brings to all of his other projects.

"With my own radio show, I'm going to do for radio what I did for Cabo: create something that promises more fun than the average adult should be allowed to have," vowed Hagar. "Drinking tunes, songs for sex and fast cars, 'Top Rock Countdown' will be my life in music. After more than 40 years in rock 'n' roll, I’ve got a lot of knowledge, a lot of love, and always a lot to say, so this is going to be a blast."

The show is being syndicated through Envisage Radio Group, which promises a "second quarter of 2015" debut. "We're excited to welcome the legendary Sammy Hagar to the Envisage gang," enthused the company's VP of programming. "His commitment to entertainment that's unique, fun and a little crazy fit well with our programming mission."
