The Rolling Stones played Fort Worth, Texas, at what many fans consider the height of their career, and to our benefit this concert was filmed and will be released Nov. 21 as 'Some Girls Live in Texas 1978' on DVD and Blu-Ray.

During the summer of '78, the Stones were widely considered at the top of their game. Their 14th studio album, ‘Some Girls,’ came out in June and by the time the band rolled into Ft. Worth and the Will Rogers Memorial Center on July 18, by all accounts they were firing on all cylinders.

First single ‘Miss You’ saw the Stones giving their nod to the disco scene, while the follow-up single ‘Beast of Burden’ carried a bit more rock punch. Both songs are seductive, lustful and guilty of taking American radios hostage that summer, making the notion of watching them live on this DVD all the more appealing.

Compiling a total of 17 songs over the course of the 85-minute concert (plus some bonus features), 'Live in Texas' will be available on four different formats: DVD, Blu-Ray, a special edition DVD + CD and a Blu-Ray + CD digipack. Expect to hear ‘Honky Tonk Women,’ ‘Star Star,’ ‘Tumbling Dice’ and ‘Happy,’ to name a few. The show was originally shot on 16mm film, but it’s now restored with the sound remixed and remastered from the original multi-track tapes.

This concert exemplifies the raw energy of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and company, live on the stage and ‘when the whip comes down,’ it sounds like this was the place to be.
