Our list of October 2013 New Music Releases finds some of classic rock's biggest stars filling the stores with new albums and videos in preparation for the upcoming holiday shopping season.

Of course, when you're talking classic rock, names don't get any bigger than Sir Paul McCartney, who's releasing a brand new studio album on October 15. In what we can only assume to be a large-scale practical joke, he's named the album 'New,' thereby inviting writers across the world to unleash a huge wave of pun-filled headlines and stories. But we can forgive him because the first single (also called 'New') is pretty darn excellent.

In addition to new albums from Joan Jett and Mountain legend Leslie West, the month also features a lot of expanded or otherwise tricked-out reissues -- led by Eric Clapton's 'Unplugged: Expanded and Remastered.'
