May 2015 New Music Releases
Our list of May 2015's new music releases finds big rock artists such as Sammy Hagar, Whitesnake and Jeff Beck looking back on their past, as well as a wide array of reissue gems.
Hagar offers At Your Service, a live set that introduces the group Circle with Jason Bonham as well as former Van Halen and Chickenfoot collaborator Michael Anthony. In keeping, the album promises songs from both groups, as well as Montrose, Hagar's solo career and Led Zeppelin. Meanwhile, David Coverdale focuses on his time as lead singer during Deep Purple's Mark III and IV eras for Whitesnake's The Purple Album.
Beck's forthcoming career-spanning concert recording also offers a smattering of new stuff, his first since 2010's Emotion & Commotion. Think that's a long wait? The Moody Blues' John Lodge is issuing his first solo album since 1977. Key reissues in May include a vinyl box focusing on Styx's classic A&M Records era, and a 14 disc-long return trip to 1972 concerts by Yes.
