As expected, Kiss made the loudest and most jaw-dropping entrance to the 2012 ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night. While outfits for the country music award show are often tame, and rarely sensational, the rockers arrived in full Kiss makeup, on the back of the Raminator, a Dodge Ram monster truck.

The appearance served a greater purpose than just promoting 'Monster,' their upcoming studio album however. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer presented the Vocal Group of the Year award to Lady Antebellum during the CBS broadcast. It was a bizarre sight and sound to hear them growl out "Lady Antebellum!" in a deep rock star rumble. The country trio is known for their polished, pop sound and manicured appearance.

Visit the band's website to see more photos from the 2012 ACM Awards. There are shots of the rockers with pop-star Kelly Clarkson (her tongue isn't quite as long as Simmons', but she gives a good effort), Reba McEntire, LL Cool J, and one of Simmons preparing to try on a cowboy hat. It's a sight straight out of a future sequel to 'Cowboys and Aliens.'

This weekend, Kiss also performed a free show near the site of the NCAA Men's Final Four basketball tournament in New Orleans, La. Look for them to play 'Dancing With the Stars' on ABC on April 9.
