Hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot will re-release their 2009 debut album in October as a double disc set featuring live bonus tracks.

The group, consisting of former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony, along with guitar wizard Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, went Gold with their self-titled debut, but it is not currently available.

"'Chickenfoot 1' will always be special to me for exactly what it is," Hagar says in a press release. "Our former label went out of business and the album had been discontinued. You could not find the album anywhere, which is crazy! We got the masters back and our new label will re-release the first album, and we thought we should include some live tracks from 'Chickenfoot III.'"

The new double-disc package will feature the entire original album on disc one, while disc two features a bonus track from previous European editions titled 'Bitten by the Wolf,' as well as live versions of 'Lighten Up,' 'Big Foot,' 'Last Temptation' and 'Something Going Wrong' recorded during last spring's Different Devil tour. The package arrives Oct. 16 via eOne.
