Here’s great news for Bob Seger fans: The veteran Michigan rocker is heading back out “against the wind” with 11 newly announced tour dates for the fall.

The new dates join two previously announced shows for a total of 13 gigs currently booked. A lot of the new shows will bring Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band to a number of markets that they didn’t make it to during their earlier tour this year. The dates begin on Nov. 2 in Ypsilanti, Mich. and run for a month, wrapping up in Philadelphia, Pa.

(And the Louisville date might feature our favorite - we're being sarcastic here - venue name ever, the 'KFC Yum! Center.' Do you have to wear a KFC bucket on your head to gain entry to the venue?)

We’re just speculating here, but it seems very possible that Seger might schedule some hometown dates in Detroit sometime on the December end of those tour dates.

Having witnessed a similar December run at the Palace of Auburn Hills on the ‘Face the Promise’ tour, this writer can tell you that there is nothing better than spending the holidays with Bob Seger in the Detroit area – and they even had some cool holiday-themed merch for those dates.

But for now, those possible dates are merely a wish on many gift lists. And just in case they don't come around, fans can still enjoy freshly tuned up versions of Seger's classic 'Live Bullet' and 'Nine Tonight' live albums, both of which have a newly added bonus track.
