It was only last year that former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley published his memoir 'No Regrets,' but he apparently still has a few things to get off his chest, because he's working on another book -- and he's back in the studio cutting tracks for his next album, too.

"There are a lot of good things on the horizon," promised Frehley during a recent interview with I Heart Guitar.

Saying his next book would probably be "an extension" of 'No Regrets,' he explained, "There's so much I left out because of the deadline, but after talking with so many different people I've got so many stories that have eluded me over the years. And there just wasn't enough room to put them into 'No Regrets', and I was past the deadline as it was. But I think I'm going to come out with something in the effect of like a 'No Regrets II.'"

But Frehley's literary ambitions don't stop there. He went on, "I also have the idea to put out a guitar book with all my guitar effects, tricks, recording techniques ... I've learned a lot of tricks from working with a lot of great producers over the years, and I think I should write a book about it."

It's been a busy few years for Frehley, who saw 'No Regrets' rise to the Top 10 of the New York Times nonfiction bestseller list two years after his most recent solo LP, 'Anomaly,' broke the top 30 of Billboard's album chart in 2009. (A limited edition vinyl pressing is scheduled for release this year.) No word yet on what Frehley has planned for his next release, but we can safely expect to hear plenty of guitar.
