Flint, Michigan native Evie Branan, 79, suddenly awoke from a 5-year coma on May 7, 2011, and her first uttered words were, "I want to go to a Bob Seger concert." It's been two years since and Evie is finally getting her chance to attend that concert.

This Thursday evening, April 11, Ms. Branan will accompany two nursing home workers who have cared for her since her debilitating stroke seven years ago to the Seger concert in Auburn Hills, Mich. And, thanks to the nursing home administrator, Michelle Cross, and the Seger management company, Punch Enterprises, Ms. Branan will not only attend the concert, but she will also have the opportunity to meet her rocker hero and his band.

It all started when Mrs. Cross purchased the tickets for Branan and Jennifer Hickey, one of Branan's aides. She then made calls to Punch Enterprises to see if they could help in making the occasion even more special. It worked. Through their coordinated efforts, a limo will pick up the three ladies and escort them to the venue where Seger and his band will be awaiting them for a celebratory dinner after the concert.

"(Her story) was definitely nothing I had heard before," Ann Tenbrusch, Punch Enterprises' executive assistant stated. "I always want to try to help out with stories like that because Bob loves his fans. It's such a cool story I just wanted to help out in any way I could."

This will not be Ms. Branan's first Seger concert -- in fact, it will be her fifth. The previous four occurred well before she suffered her stroke at age 72. Mrs. Cross says one would never know the aging lover of rock was 79, saying, "She's as lively now as she was in her younger years."

While Branan might have lost a little bounce to her step and a wee tad of her hearing, the new hearing aids she just received in time for the concert will have her and her posse rockin' and dancing in the aisles.

Branan says she is very thankful for this second chance and the opportunity to see Seger again. "I'm so excited I can hardly breathe," she said. "What am I looking forward to the most? Hugging Bob Seger and giving him a big smooch."

Pucker up, Bob. It seems ol' Evie's gonna hit you with some Night Moves.
