2011 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards: Book of the Year

2011 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards

It’s day two of the 2011 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards, and we begin by focusing on the written word, specifically, by letting you vote for the best book written by a classic rocker this year.

It’s a surprisingly crowded field, with recent autobiographies from founding Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley and Black Sabbath leader Tony Iommi joining efforts released earlier in the year by Sammy Hagar and Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler.

There were also two slightly less conventional books worthy of a spot on our ballot: Ozzy Osbourne‘s medical and dating advice collection ‘Trust Me, I’m Doctor Ozzy’ and Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx‘s part-photobook, part-journal, the lengthily titled “This is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx.’

So which one will win the coveted Book of the Year award? That’s entirely up to you. You can vote for any of these six below, starting now and continuing up until 11:59 PM on Jan. 1. The winner will be announced, as it will for all ten categories in the 2011 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards, on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
