Mark Knopfler's long-awaited double-disc 'Privateering' album is finally coming out in the U.S. on Sept. 10. You don't have to wait that long for a sneak peek at the record, though: we're premiering one song, 'I Used to Could,' right here at UCR.

Whoever said the best things take time might have had a premonition about the fall concert tour pairing of Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler.

Seeing Bob Dylan in concert is, as Forrest Gump might say, like a box of chocolates -- you never know if you're going to get the Bob who seems contemptuous of his audience and tired of his own songs, or the Dylan who adds to his inestimable legacy with another night of spine-tingling performances of classic songs.

Mark Knopfler is currently in the studio working on his next solo disc, although the album will not see the light of day until at least 2012. The former Dire Straits frontman also appears as a guest musician on a couple of recent releases.
