Mountain frontman Leslie West, who recently underwent an emergency leg amputation, has set a Sept. 20 release for his next album, 'Unusual Suspects.' The recovering rock veteran will make his first appearance since the surgery at the Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp Woodstock Weekend on Aug. 13 in New York.

Leslie West from Mountain called into the Howard Stern show this morning (June 22), just two days after the guitarist's lower right leg was amputated as the result of a life-long battle with diabetes.

Leslie West, the singer-guitarist for classic-rock band Mountain, had to have his lower right leg amputated on Monday. The procedure was required to prevent a foot infection from spreading further into his body.
