Stevie Nicks shot down the longstanding rumors that a biopic about her life and times as the singer of Fleetwood Mac, among other things, is in the works. At an event in Los Angeles last week, the husky-voiced singer clarified things, revealing that there is no film currently planned.

Nicks told Us Weekly that "Nobody is making a movie about my life. When there is a movie about my life being made, everybody will know. And it will be serious." So there you have it. Expect to hear it from the horse's mouth if and when a Nicks biopic begins to take shape.

The rumors of a Nicks biopic were prevalent for quite a while. Stories that young starlets like Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff were up for the role of Nicks circulated with frequency. It was enough to make us wonder who would play Lindsey Buckingham, Nicks one-time love and partner in Fleetwood Mac.

It's well-documented that the making of 'Rumours' was fraught with drama and tension amongst all of the members. That would make for juicy, meaty big screen fare! Nicks' personal life is certainly captivating as well.

Nicks' latest album 'In Your Dreams' is out now.
