The man born Richard Starkey turns 72 on July 7. You know him better as legendary Beatles drummer Ringo Starr. The musician became an official member of the Fab Four back in 1962 when he replaced Pete Best in the band. While primarily in the background for the Beatles, he did take lead vocals on tracks like 'Octopus's Garden.'

After the Beatles, he hit with such solo singles as 'It Don't Come Easy,' 'Photograph,' and 'You're Sixteen.' He went on to star in films like the comedy 'Caveman,' and launched the touring collective Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band.
