Joe Perry's representatives have yet to comment on whatever ailment sent him to the hospital after a backstage collapse during a recent Hollywood Vampires concert. But regardless of the reason for the health scare, they're promising he'll be back in action soon.

USA Today reports that Perry's publicist responded to a request for comment by telling the paper, "Joe Perry will rejoin his fellow Vampires onstage again soon."

The band resumes touring today, after backing out of a planned appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert yesterday. Current plans call for the Vampires to remain on the road through late July, after which Perry is expected to be on hand for Aerosmith's fall concert commitments.

While we've yet to hear any official word regarding the details of Perry's condition, things seem somewhat less serious than they may have initially appeared. Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton joined the rest of his bandmates in expressing concern for Perry by telling fans, "Thankfully, Joe seems to be better than we all first feared. Here's hoping he's back on stage soon doing what he loves to do!" Perry's own social media outlets, meanwhile, have issued assurances that he is “stable,” “with family” and “under the best care.”

It's still unknown who, if anyone, will sit in for Perry with the Hollywood Vampires while they carry on in his absence. The group's touring personnel includes guitarist Tommy Henriksen and utility player Bruce Witkin, and they were joined on their self-titled LP by a roster of guest guitarists that included Orianthi, Joe Walsh and Robby Krieger.
