Blondie has just announced that their new album, ‘Panic of Girls,’ will be released on Sept. 13 through an exclusive deal with Amazon, who will sell the album in both physical and digital formats.

The album, which was released overseas in July, is inspired by New York City’s street-level culture and siphons from Debbie Harry’s signature new wave style. Core members Chris Stein (guitars) and drummer Clem Burke are also featured in fine form throughout 'Panic of Girls.' Quite interestingly, it's also a trilingual record, with some tunes being sung in French and Spanish.

It’s refreshing to see a classic artist like Blondie, who, along with her fans, can remember the days of thumbing through vinyl, be so progressive and forward thinking as to partner up with an on-line retailing giant. To quote Bob Dylan, the times, they are a-changin'.

Blondie will head out on the road this weekend on a five week tour across the United States to promote ‘Panic of Girls.’ You can keep up with all the latest happenings in their world via Blondie.net.
