Few bands are as notoriously eclectic as cult favorites NRBQ, and longtime drummer Tom Ardolino, who passed away at Jan. 6 at age 56, was a vital part. Ardolino, who lost a lengthy battle with an unidentified illness, joined NRBQ in 1974 and drummed with them for three decades. “He had a totally unique style of drumming that nobody can ever duplicate,” former NRBQ member Al Anderson said of his onetime bandmate.
