ZZ Top has made a lot of great music over the years, but in some circles they're as well known for their image as their songs.

Both Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill have sported beards that drop down to the chest area for years, and the look of the two musicians out front has definitely caught the eyes of many for years.

Singer/guitarist Billy Gibbons says there have been offers, most notably from Gillette in 1984 who stated they would give Gibbons and Hill $1 million to shave off their beards in a commercial, but they've turned down every one.

Gibbons tells BraveWords.com, "No dice. Even adjusted for inflation, this isn't going to fly. They prospect of seeing oneself in the mirror clean-shaven is too close to a Vincent Price film … a prospect not to be contemplated, no matter the compensation."

So ZZ Top, with beards intact (with the exception of beardless drummer Frank Beard), will rock on as hirsute as ever. The band just released the four-song 'Texicali' EP earlier this month, and a still-untitled studio album produced by Rick Rubin is expected to follow. Audiences are currently being treated to the new single, 'I Gotsta Get Paid.'
