Yes, it's former Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, who played on the group's first three genre-redefining albums.

Sadly, Burton's been gone for over 26 years now, having passed away in a tragic 1986 bus accident. Thankfully, the impact of his talent and personality continues to grow every day. Check out photos and video from one of his first shows with the group, back in March of 1983.
