Yes, it's Dusty Hill of ZZ Top!

A Dallas native, he moved to Houston in 1969 along with fellow future ZZ Top member Frank Beard (the one without the beard), where they met Billy Gibbons. That little ol' band from Texas was born. From these humble beginnings as a blues-rocking bar band, ZZ Top rose to blockbuster sales into the '80s when the group -- with a timely assist from Hill on keyboards -- revamped its sound for a new age.

About that gunshot wound? The occasion was a Dec. 16, 1984 mishap, when Hill's girlfriend pulled off his boot -- only to watch in horror as his derringer dropped out and discharged into Hill's abdomen. More recently, ZZ Top was forced to reschedule a series of concert dates with Jeff Beck when Hill injured his hip after falling inside their tour bus.
