Yes, it's the Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent!

It's been nearly five decades since "Uncle Ted" emerged on the scene with the debut album from his first band, the Amboy Dukes. About a decade after that, he launched a solo career and became one of the biggest stars of the '70s on the strength of songs like 'Stranglehold,' 'Cat Scratch Fever' and 'Motor City Madhouse,' his love letter to Detroit.

Nugent's maintained a high profile ever since, including an early-'90s stint as a member of another successful band, Damn Yankees, alongside Styx star Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades of Night Ranger. Admittedly, in recent years Ted's gathered more headlines for his outspoken political beliefs than for his music. Which is a shame, because a Ted Nugent concert ticket is still one of the best possible ways to spend your hard-earned money.
