It’s Freddie Mercury’s Yearbook Photo!

Yes, it's legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, whose incredible voice, talent and creative range helped the band become one of the most popular in rock history. The photo above shows him as a member of the Hectics, a band he formed at school with several classmates.

Mercury was taken from us at the far-too-young age of 45 in 1991. Several months later, a who's-who of rock stars gathered at London's Wembley stadium to pay tribute to his life and music. It's simply incredible to watch videos from the show and realize that everybody from Metallica and Guns N' Roses to George Michael was influenced by his work.
