Yes, it's singer-songwriter Dan Fogelberg, best known for hits such as 'Longer,' (a popular wedding song) 'Run for the Roses' (about the Kentucky Derby) and 'Leader of the Band.'

His debut, 1972's 'Home Free,' didn't exactly set the world on fire sales-wise. But his career got a boost when Joe Walsh produced his 1974 follow-up, 'Souvenirs,' and recruited future Eagles bandmates Glenn Frey and Don Henley to sing and play on the album. This kicked off a string of hit records that earned Fogelberg a devoted fan base. His most popular song, 'Leader of the Band,' was a tribute to his father Lawrence, a fellow musician.

Sadly, the younger Folgelberg died of cancer in 2007, but his work still has a strong impact on many lives. You can learn all about his life and music at his official site, DanFogelberg.com.
