Win a Jimi Hendrix CD + DVD Prize Package

Jimi Hendrix returns to theaters over the next month as his classic Woodstock set will be aired in honor of the late singer-guitarist's 70th birthday. In honor of Hendrix's great legacy of music, Ultimate Classic Rock is teaming up with Omniverse Vision / Sony Legacy to provide you with the chance to win a nine-disc CD and DVD prize package including many of Hendrix's top studio albums and live performances.

Included as part of the package are the Hendrix CDs 'Are You Experienced,' 'Axis: Bold as Love,' 'Electric Ladyland,' 'Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix,' 'First Rays of the New Rising Sun,' 'South Saturn Delta,' and 'Valleys of Neptune' as well as the DVDs for 'West Coast Seattle Boy: The Jimi Hendrix Anthology' and the very special 'Live at Woodstock' DVD.

The 'Live at Woodstock' film began airing in theaters on Nov. 26, the date of what would have been Hendrix's 70th birthday, and the movie will continue to air with select screenings set up through Dec. 8.

The film was assembled from the original 16mm footage shot by Michael Wadleigh, who also directed the Woodstock movie. Eddie Kramer, Hendrix's longtime engineer, digitally remastered the sound with a 5.1 audio surround mix. Kramer, Hendrix's bandmates Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell, and Woodstock promoter Michael Lang are all shown as part of the documentary that precedes the concert portion of the film.

The performance became one of the most well-known sets in music history as Hendrix's iconic version of 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' along with such favorites as 'Foxy Lady,' 'Fire,' 'Purple Haze,' and 'Hey Joe' made it a show to remember.
