With less than a week to go before the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots take the field in Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1, it's only right that this edition of Clash of the Titans should pit a crew of New England rockers against a legend from the Pacific Northwest.

Serving as the Seahawks' proxy in this battle, we have Seattle's own Jimi Hendrix, who was born in the Emerald City and spent his formative years gigging at local clubs before joining the Army in the early '60s and beginning the peripatetic existence that would continue until his tragic passing in 1970.

In the Patriots' stead, we have none other than Aerosmith, the proud Boston sons who came together in the city in 1970 and have continued to show their allegiance to New England over the ensuing 45 years. Sure, they didn't go as far as naming their band Boston, but when you're in a (non-courtroom) fight, who do you want scrapping on your behalf -- Tom Scholz or Joe Perry?

That question might be worth a poll of its own someday. For now, we're asking you to choose between a pair of rock-radio standards: Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)' and Aerosmith's 'Sweet Emotion.' Personally, we'd rather not imagine a world without either one of these songs, but you know the rules -- two competitors shall enter, and only one can emerge victorious. Fortunately, you can cast a vote once every hour between now and 11:59PM ET on Feb. 1. Check out both songs below.
