Vivian Campbell – August 2012 Classic Rock Birthdays

Adaptable guitar hero Vivian Campbell will turn the big 5-0 on Aug. 25. Since rising to fame as a member of Dio, Campbell moved on to join Def Leppard in 1992, and has also played with a myriad of talents such as Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Riverdogs and Sweet Savage.

He is currently touring with Def Leppard, and the group is reportedly in the process of re-recording many of their classic hits. Campbell has also made clear his intentions to reclaim his Dio legacy by re-uniting with the surviving original band members.
