To commemorate Veteran's Day today (Nov. 11), some of the biggest names in rock and roll have taken to their twitter accounts to thank the brave men and women who have served or given their lives in duty to our country as part of America's armed forces. Noted military supporters such as Ted Nugent and Kiss (who admirably donated a portion of every ticket sold on their last tour to help wounded veterans) were quick to sing the troops' praises.

Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba included a musical tribute in the form of his rendition of the National Anthem, joining a long list of rock musicians who have performed that song in honor of our country's heroes. You can check out many more of those performances on our recent list of National Anthem Guitar Solos, and see how these rockers expressed themselves on Veteran's Day below:

KISS (@KISSOnline): VETERANS DAY MESSAGE FROM KISS WE WILL NEVER FORGET Those who live in freedom will always be grateful to those…

Guns N’ Roses (@gunsnroses): Today is 11/11/11 a.k.a Veterans Day in U.S.A. Here's a flashback/salute to our veterans by @DjASHBA

Jesse Colin Young (@JesseColinYoung): God bless our veterans. Bring 'em home! And once they are here, give 'em the best. No more homeless vets!
