1/28 Update: The 2013 Ultimate Classic Rock Bowl semifinals ended Jan. 27 at 11:59 EST.

The 2013 Ultimate Classic Rock Bowl has reached the semifinal round! As you can imagine, that means some pretty important bands are facing off against each other -- in this case, progressive rock kings Rush and the mighty Van Halen.

16 of rock’s biggest bands met up earlier this month in a series of single-elimination polls to determine the genre’s true champions; after two full rounds only four remain. Van Halen beat Motley Crue (66 to 34%) in round one and Pink Floyd (52 to 48%) in round two, while Rush dispatched Lynyrd Skynyrd and then moved on to blow Aerosmith out of the water by capturing 73% of the vote.

So who gets to the finals -- the men who introduced you to 'Tom Sawyer' or the guys who confessed to being 'Hot for Teacher?' It's up to you! You can vote once per hour in each of the semifinal matches from now until Sunday, Jan. 27 at 11:59 PM ET.

The 2013 Ultimate Classic Rock Bowl champ will be announced Feb. 4 — the day after the Super Bowl.
