Van Halen – Bizarre Tour Rider Requests

In perhaps the most famous bizarre tour rider request of all time, Van Halen's 1982 rider insisted that they have M&Ms for the dressing room, with all of the brown-shelled ones removed.

But while that may have made headlines, the group also requested herring in sour cream for their deli tray and one large tube of KY Jelly.

Also, the M&M request wasn't a farce at all; It was the band's way to make sure the small details on important safety issues -- such as, how the stage was assembled -- were being handled properly each night.
