The world of video games has always called on the back catalog of rock 'n' rollers to provide the soundtrack to its high-tech adventures. And in the new commercial for the PS4's Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, the familiar rumble of prime-era Aerosmith echoes loud and clear.

The Uncharted series follows the adventures of Nathan Drake, an Indiana Jones-type character who's led three popular games. It's fitting that the swagger of Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" is used here to pump up the mood. This new collection, which comes out on Oct. 9, gathers the three games, along with new content, for the first time on the latest PlayStation console.

"Sweet Emotion" was the first single to be released from the band's fourth album, Toys in the Attic, hitting the airwaves in the spring of 1975. It helped push Aerosmith to major-league status, breaking into the Top 40 and setting the stage for the Top 10 mega-hit that followed, "Walk This Way." The song has lost none of its power over the past 40 years.

Toys in the Attic not only served as Aerosmith's big breakthrough, it remains the biggest-selling album in their catalog.
