Formed way back in 1969, British rockers UFO broke big after they added guitarist Michael Schenker, who was just 18 at the time, to their lineup in 1973.

Their 'Phenomenon' album a year later introduced the band to U.S. audiences, as they increasingly built their fan base across the planet.

But it wasn't until 1979's live album 'Strangers in the Night' that UFO reached a commercial in their home country.

All their hard work eventually paid off when the band landed at No. 84 on VH1's '100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.'
