Tommy Bolin fans are being treated to an archive release that is sure to put smiles on their faces. 'The Definitive Teaser' is a three-disc box set that contains a remastered version of the guitar legend's classic solo debut, 'Teaser,' plus two discs worth of extras and outtakes.

A special five-disc collectors edition will also be available, which will include the double disc posthumous release, 'Great Gypsy Soul.' Both versions will be released via 429 Records in September.

The set was assembled by producer Greg Hampton, along with Tommy's brother Johnnie. Tommy Bolin's brief, turbulent life and career may not have allowed him to make many commercial inroads, but he certainly influenced other guitarists. After brief stints with the James Gang and Deep Purple, he released his solo debut, 'Teaser,' in 1975. The follow up, 'Private Eyes,' was issued at the end of 1976. By year's end, he would be dead of a drug overdose.
