October 30, 2012 marks the 65th birthday of Eagles bassist and singer Timothy B. Schmit.

He joined up with the band just after their 'Hotel California' tour, and soon found himself in a role as one of the group's songwriters and singers, contributing heavily to their 1979 album 'The Long Run.'

When the Eagles broke up in 1980, Schmit's career allowed him the opportunity to be part of compilations with artists such as Bob Seger, Boz Scaggs, Don FelderCrosby, Stills & Nash, and tour as a member of Ringo Starr's All-Star Band.

The Eagles reunited in 1994, and Schmit was once again one of the core singer/songwriters on the band's 'Hell Freezes Over' reunion album.
