Thin Lizzy – Best Classic Rock Artists A-Z

We travel to Ireland for the 20th poll in our A-Z countdown, and as you'd expect, the mighty Thin Lizzy are our choice to represent the classic rock genre for the letter "T."

Led by bassist, singer and blue-collar poet Phil Lynott, Lizzy never quite got the proper respect due them, but they did build a large and loyal following over their decade-plus career. They are forever etched into classic rock history, at the very least, for their 1976 album 'Jailbreak,' which featured the menacing title track and the immortal 'The Boys Are Back in Town.'
