The semifinal round of the first-ever 100% fan-voted Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame competition kicks off with a battle of epic proportions: Bob Dylan vs. the Beatles.

Each month, your votes will determine which of eight legendary artists or bands is immortalized forever for their contributions to classic rock history. This time out, we don't envy you, as you'll be choosing between the Beatles, arguably the most popular and influential group ever in rock and roll, and Bob Dylan, quite possibly the most important songwriter in the recent history of popular music. If you're on the fence, perhaps our Top 10 lists for each act -- Top 10 Beatles Songs, Top 10 Bob Dylan Songs -- can help.

The Fab Four earned their spot by pretty much blowing the doors off their former creative competitors the Beach Boys in round one, earning 86% of the vote, while Dylan edged out the three-guitar attack of the Yardbirds 53 to 47%.

As wrong as it sounds, only one of these two culture-shifting acts will move on to the March 2013 Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame Finals. To decide who that will be, you can vote once a day from now until 11:59PM ET on Sunday, March 24. You can read the official rules right here. The first entrant into our Hall of Fame will be revealed on April 1, 2013.
