We are pleased to exclusively present Ted Nugent's tour de force performance of 'Stranglehold' from the upcoming 'Ultralive Ballisticrock' CD, DVD and Blu-ray for you today. The live set hits stores in three formats on Oct. 22.

'Stranglehold' is an eight-minute epic that kicks off with what very well might be the best opening guitar lick in rock history. It doesn't let up from there -- in fact, we have it listed as one of the Top 100 Classic Rock Songs of all time -- and this dynamic 2011 performance from Penn's Peak demonstrates why pretty clearly.

The Motor City Madman is more than ably supported by bassist Greg Smith, drummer Mick Brown and guitarist-singer Derek St. Holmes -- who sang on the original version of the song featured on Nugent's landmark self-titled debut album -- throughout 'Stranglehold' and 'Ultralive Ballisticrock.' But of course it's Uncle Ted's energy, charisma and guitar playing that dominate the proceedings, particularly during the song's famous extended solo section.

You can purchase 'Ultralive Ballisticrock' on DVD, Blu-ray or in a Deluxe Edition featuring two CDs and a DVD by using the links included in this sentence. Be on the lookout for our exclusive interview with Ted Nugent, which is scheduled to run later this week.
